Tips for choosing your team name

Keep it short

2-4 words is ideal. Long names get truncated on race bibs and are hard to chant. "Pace Invaders" works better than "The Society of Dedicated Recreational Runners Who Love Running."

Match your group personality

A competitive club might prefer "Relentless Stride" while a social group might lean toward "Will Run for Beer." The name should feel like it belongs to your group.

Check availability

If you plan to use the name on social media or for a Strava club, check that the handle is available. Search Instagram, Strava, and your local running club registry before committing.

Test the chant factor

Say the name out loud as if a crowd is cheering for you. "Go Pace Invaders!" works. "Go The Society Of..." does not.
